From Mechanical Engineering to Fitness Coach
My path to becoming a Fitness Professional has been somewhat atypical. The fact is, I was never fit as a child. I did my bachelor’s in mechanical engineering at SRM UNIVERSITY but even before I started my degree I knew that this was not what I wanted to be doing for the rest of my life.
So, I went on a journey to find myself. I went through a few years of improper guidance, struggle, and some false starts. But somewhere along the way, hitting the gym became a part of my life. I was one among the most of you people who had been body-shamed for the way I looked, feel less confident & inferior. I always feared that if I hit the gym, people around me would ill-treat or make fun of me.
But before jumping into the game, I took my time and educated myself about Nutrition and Training. I worked closely with professionals and clients taking home a lot of practical on-floor knowledge, read research papers, did some highly reputed professional courses and tried various methods on myself, and realized what works and what doesn’t. I had guided many people virtually and on-floor just to gain more practical experience with what I learnt over time even before I actually started commercialising. Once I was confident in my approach and the results that it promised, I launched my company VS Transformations through which I was providing Online Fitness Coaching Program to help people transform their bodies – no matter their age, body shape, or lifestyle. I’ve touched many lives and had given the change they had always desired.
